Lavrov says 5G devt stumbles over frequencies allocation
SOLNECHNOGORSK, Moscow Region, Aug 24 (PRIME) -- The 5G technology is important for Russia, whose problem is in allocating frequencies, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on August 23.
“The matter we are to tackle is about the frequencies that should be given for 5G. The question is that the military, who have been working on these frequencies since long ago, would find a way out to either share or find other resources,” Lavrov said at a forum.
“For us, 5G is very important like for the rest of the world. The president has repeatedly said that if we lag in development of cut-edge technologies, 5G or artificial intelligence, it’ll be bad for the country.”
